I was inspired to create a short animation when I saw a gallery of beautiful London Laundrette images in the Guardian. Taken in by their symmetry, colours, simple shapes and repetition, I thought they resembled a Wes Anderson style composition, similar to that in The Grand Budapest Hotel.

I chose a pastel pink and forest green colour palette as a base and added texture and shading to bring my illustrations to life.

I rigged the characters using duik and experimented with sound design for the first time.
