On a brisk Autumn day I found this gorgeous leaf, a spectrum of orange, green and pinks morphing into one another. I was inspired by the flow of the colours and the sharp outline of the leaf.

 

I pushed myself into a different illustration style, looser, softer but still with plenty of noise and created this animation.

Originally I was playing around with hair simulations in Cinema 4D to create the caterpillar, but it was jarring with the delicate 12fps style of the apple and leaves.
